Plastic Mailers : Currently, our products are shipped in plastic poly-mailers. The reason being it is far less costly, making the end product affordable for you and not crazy expensive. Our mailers are made from PET (polyethylene film) which one of the most easily recyclable plastics out there. Our team is working on bringing compostable or recycled-plastic mailers very, very soon. But until then, what can you do with them? By carefully opening your poly mailer with scissors across the top, making sure to avoid the contents inside, you ensure that you will be able to use it again the next time you need to ship an item. Best to Reuse! If you aren't a fan of that, you could turn it into a bag.
Plastic Wrap: This is one of THE most common packaging - clingy plastic wrapped over every box or product, and sometimes more than one layer. We only use it when we find it absolutely necessary. Yet, after their timely one-use, it goes into the trash. But, why says their artistic value has gone? little bits of plastic can be shaped and DIY'd into accessories, fashion or art pieces like so.
Bubble Wrap : At CosKit we only use bubble wrap because we have to find a way to prevent the products from being damaged during transit. We know it's one of the most commonly used packaging plastic, very satisfying to pop, but other than that, it goes to waste. So how to keep it use-worthy? Gardening. Yes, you heard that right. Bubble wrap so actually really good at trapping heat and simulating a Greenhouse. Lining the walls of a pot with bubble wrap before putting in the soil and seeds helps certain seeds germinate faster. Take a look! They can also protect the roots of a plant from surrounding damage.
Plastic Containers : We all know opting for materials like glass makes it so much more easy to reuse. But, our plastic containers can be re-used too! After you have finished the inside product, you can clean out the bottle with soap and water to store other liquids. But if that's not your cup of tea, you can customize the bottle with a scissor, to make creative things like a faucet extender, Pencil box, hanging items holder, and more!
